Jillian Horton wins 2022 Edna Staebler Award for Creative Non-Fiction

Posted on October 19, 2023October 19, 2023 By Bruce Gillespie

Jillian Horton, M.D., author of We Are All Perfectly Fine: A Memoir of Love, Medicine and Healing is the winner of the 2022 Edna Staebler Award for Creative Non-Fiction. As I say in the news release, “This is a book that offers rich insight into the high-stress lives of physicians even before the pandemic. It really stood apart from the other submissions, not only for its timeliness but for its humility, grace and humour.”

Please join us to celebrate Dr. Horton at an award ceremony at 3 pm, on November 9, at 45 Lodge Street on Wilfrid Laurier University’s Waterloo campus. Everyone is welcome–students, staff, faculty, and members of the wider book-loving community. Tickets are free but need to be reserved in advance
